This place runs hot and cold . The food is usually absolutely in edible , but occasionally you can choke it down . The last two times I went it's because the people I've been with wanted Mexican and there's no place else in town except Taco Bell . We ordered the beef for heaters and I tried to choose three different pieces but ended up just putting it out on my plate as embarrassing as that was . It was simply crystal connected with a few shreds of beef . One time in the last eight years or so I've got a decent meal there and I quit even trying . Save yourself the heartburn and drive a few miles to Jacksonville where there are several good choices .
I come here almost EVERY Friday! It's authentic, home-made and served by the family that owns the place... Salsa is good, food is great, beans are super! It's not necessarily the typical Tex-mex you might be expecting. Free "lemonade" margaritas after 5 too! I recommend the Carolina or the Angie Shaw, but everything I've ever had is great!

Omg best Mexican food I've had in a lomg time.
Seriously awful. Like, gross. Funky salsa, clammy chips, underwhelming queso, and super greasy nachos. How does this place even pass inspection? Bathroom is literally caving in. The kitchen is in worse shape than most deer camps I've seen. Will never stop here again on our way through. Yuck.
