After a few hours of sleep we were back on the road again shortly after noon. All in all an uneventful stay.

This place was so disgusting we couldn't even stay there! Bird poop on the furniture and window sills. Formica peeling up. Extremely stained carpets! Keep on going to Jacksonville. Don't even stop!
We got into our room in the early morning, and were out as soon as we hit the pillows. Since the hotel was empty we had an almost silent stay. Only the occasional truck passing by on the nearby road could be heard.
Horrible place. Hated it. I was booked there by a friend because it was the only motel in Rusk. After one nite, I drove back home. It is nasty, cheep, dirty, front desk is rude and the water was off for 6 hrs & they didn't comp me. Do not stay there. Sleep in your car or a tent. There are no nice places to stay in Rusk.!
The room was clean, and comfortable enough to sleep 4 people. The bathroom was a bit dated, the room was very plain. Nothing to really bring us back. For our couple hour nap it was perfectly fine, but Id probably look for something nicer if I was planning to stay in town more than a few hours.
It was a terriable stay. We went there for a funeral. We should have driven on to Jacksonville. We had stayed there many times when we would come to town for my husband's class reunion. But this place has gone to the dogs. It is out dated, it needs updating in every since of the word. The pool looked nice that is the only good thing to say about that place. We couldn't even get a key to our room. The lady at the desk had to let us in to the room saying that she would get us a key later because the machine wasn't working. Later we wanted to go eat so I went to the office and asked for a key she said no key because still wasn't working. She had to come and lock our room. I was not really comfortable with this arrangement. When we got back to the place we had to go to the office and get her to unlock the room. Yes you guessed it still no key. Everytime we went to the office for something we had to wait until they came down to the office I assume for where they live at the motel. It was such a pain and I don't think the keyachins was broken I think they didn't want to have to pay for that service so they didn't have it turned on. That's just my opinion. I will never stay there again unless someone new buys it and makes a lot of changes. Go on to Jacksonville don't be fooled by the fact that it sits up at the top of a hill and is appealing from the highway. Never again
When we drove up we weren't sure we were in the right place, because the hotel looked like it could be closed and there were no cars around the building.
We checked into a room when we just couldn't drive any further. The room we received was on the backside of the building, and on the upstairs floor which was odd since there was no one else staying there.
Stayed here once, simple hotel, basic amenities.
