I lived there as a client I love everyone there

Kayla is the bomb!!!! Kwj

Went to this facility 15 years ago. I still have nightmares about this place. Very traumatic experience. You're better off visiting Auschwitz. It took me several years to come to terms with myself with what had happened here. Bottom line: Do not send any of your loved ones here for treatment. Do your research on this place. You'll be glad you did.

With all do respect I have been observing Betty McCarthy and I am her son-in-law. She has took and fell. When she drives she goes into spacing out and starts veering to the right side of the road. When she coughs she wets herself and craps herself, truth b told why did u let her go with her being the way she is. She's not taking care of herself at all. And with all do respect she needs help a lot. What needs to be done is that u really need to keep an eye on her. She almost fell on my kids just by falling asleep in the chair. I am concerned when she's around her Grand kids and you let her go, You suppose to be a place to help people. Then with all do respect help her and try to get her better if not then leave her in there.

well it wasnt all bad except for the fact that everytime you get into a fight you get 2 shots of thorazine or haldol usually.there are some nice pnas.not all staff are bad.i really did love it when dr poppler tried to intimidate patients though.with all do respect he is a fat black doctor who claimed to know nita patterson.nita patterson a doctor who told me she is just labeling me with my ups and downs.then prescribed me zyprexa(olanzapine) and told me if i did not sign consent (which is what most of the doctors say)they will call the judge and have you recommitted.then she asked me if i thought there was anything wrong with me.and said let me tell you this jeremy,im good friends with the judge and she doesnt like you im good friends with the da and montgomery county pshchiatrist,so if you dont like it (well basically too bad) i was told by the DRB(or Danger Review Board) in north texas state hospital that i was found not manifestly dangerous and mentally stable and would be released within 15 to 30 days.dr poplar told me that he knows the judge and it would take another year to reevaluate me.most people have no way to contact anyone outside the hospital.north texas state hospital is federally funded and they get $647 daily for each patient on campus.if they cannot find a diagnosis for you within 6 months they legally have to let you go.i was in rusk 2 and a half years.i mailed disability rights FIVE TIMES.they told me every time that "although your situation fall specifically within the priorities of disability rights.we just dont have the staff resources to assist you at this time....long story.there are some nice people that work there.but i was on the long term unit for a while and a doctor gave a speech that cursing would now be a sign of aggression and needs to be charted on followed very shortly by an explaination of how handshakes and hugs are against the rules and will be charted on(they call it Public Display of Affection).according to 46.c commitment patients who do no obey the rules of the hospital show they may not obey the laws outside the hospital and are subject to recommitment.usually a minimum of 6 months to a year.my middle finger was broken and is still very crooked and it took 2 weeks to see x rays outside the hospital.they said no joke it may be broken.another two weeks pass and they said it was too late.i could not get ahold of a lawyer and obviously did not have the money for one.A person cannot legally sue ANY government entity after three months of the incident.insanity.
